Overview of Yuan Ze University Taiwan: Yuan Ze University (元智大學)

Yuan Ze University is located in Taoyuan City, right next to Taipei City. Yuan Ze University – YZU – 元智大學 is a private university founded by the Far East Group in 1989.

In terms of geographical location, Taoyuan has everything you need, close to Taoyuan International Airport, the cost of living is somewhat more affordable than downtown Taipei

Established in 1989, Yuan Ze University does not have a long history. However, YZU has been recognized as a model for emerging universities in the shortest time. It is the first and only university to win the National Quality Award in 2003.

It was then designated by MOE as one of the top 12 universities in Taiwan and received the award for the “Top University and Excellence Research Center Development Project” in 2005.

Currently, Yuan Ze University has 5 faculties including Engineering, Information Technology, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Electrical and Communications Engineering. YZU has over 9,000 students enrolled with a 2:1 ratio of undergraduates to graduate students.

The school also places emphasis on promoting overall teaching and research capabilities. The School of Management here established the first EMBA program in Taiwan. In addition, the school also promotes teaching and research in the fields of humanities, general education and ethics.
