China Medical Technology University (HWAI), originally known as China Medical Technology College, was founded in 1968 in Tainan. With the aim of providing educational opportunities for students interested in healthcare.

I. Introduction of China Medical Technology University (HWAI):
In the early stages, HWAI had only one five-year program with three departments for junior high school graduates. A two-year day and night program for senior high school graduates was offered in 1988. In 1999, the school was upgraded from a junior college to a college of technology. In 2007, it was promoted to China Medical Technology University. By 2018, the three departments had been upgraded to College of Medical Technology, College of Nursing, and College of Human Life Sciences. Currently, the school has 13 undergraduate programs, some of which include five-year or two-year undergraduate programs. In order to create a positive impact and influence on students’ learning progress. HWAI’s goal is to emphasize improving the teaching environment, developing teaching quality, and promoting research. In addition, the school also hopes to cultivate high-level medical professionals through unremitting efforts. Our Administration Department consists of 3 departments: Registration, Curriculum, and Recruitment. The Recruitment Office is in charge of all kinds of recruitment tasks for students; the Recruitment Office is responsible for all kinds of registration procedures; and the responsibility for managing and arranging curriculum-related work, such as teaching examination and evaluation, belongs to the Curriculum Office.
II. Curriculum at China Medical Technology University:
1. Faculty of Health Technology:
The curriculum here aims to train students with practical medical technology and research skills in line with the national health and biotechnology development policy. HWAI equips its students with information management and lifelong learning capabilities, and prepares them for the era of globalized knowledge economy. The Faculty consists of 2 majors:
- Pet Care
- Ophthalmology (40 enrollment quotas)
2. Faculty of Human Life Sciences
The Faculty of Human Life Sciences (CHLS) consists of 6 departments and 1 graduate institute. CHLS’s teaching programs focus on achieving scientific and technological improvements for society and making an impact on human life. The curriculum is specially designed to create a cooperative relationship between educational institutions and businesses, so that job opportunities are always available for undergraduates and graduates. The Faculty consists of 6 majors:
- Food Nutrition (40 enrollment quotas)
- Sports, health and entertainment
- Occupational safety and hygiene
- Health safety and environmental engineering
- Hotel management
- Preschool care and education
III. Admission requirements
– High school graduate – GPA of 6.0/semester or higher.
IV. Tuition and Scholarships
Semester 1: 100% Free
Semester 2: 24,000 NTD ~ 18,859,032 VND (Tuition) 4,750 NTD ~ 3,732,517 VND (Dormitory)
Semester 3 – 8: 38,000 NTD ~ 29,860,134 VND (Tuition) 9,500 NTD ~ 7,465,034 VND (Dormitory)
Note:
All students upon admission are supported with a scholarship of 10,000 NTD ~ 7,857,930 VND. This tuition amount has been deducted from the NT$10,000 scholarship. If you do not meet the school’s conditions and regulations during your studies, you will not be deducted and will have to pay the full amount of 48,000 NTD.
