The 1+4 program or the University Preparation Program is a program that helps international students who do not have a foreign language certificate to still be able to study abroad in Taiwan. Normally, the program is 1 year of Chinese language, after 1 year of passing A2, you will study the regular university program.

Scholarships
Scholarships for students of the 1+4 system:
- 100% tuition exemption for the first semester of Chinese language study
- 25,000 NTD tuition reduction for the second semester of Chinese language study.
- 25,000 NTD tuition reduction for the semester 1 year 1 university program.
Merit-based scholarships for students of the 1+4 system:
- Academic achievement + conduct of 85 points or higher will receive a tuition reduction of 20,000 NTD/semester
